Baseball is my sport!
Jared has had his second attempt at a team sport. The first was when he was 4 playing indoor soccer. We were assured that it was very layed back and that it would be fun only to find out that our little 3 & 4 year olds were up against 6,7 & 8 year olds who had all played in the same team competition the year before! Firdt game and there are our little angels on the pitch only to find the opposing team booting the ball right at them at full speed and the parents all cheering them on, needless to say our kids ran off crying....end of team sport number 1 !
Well...we thought now that Jared is 8 we will try again so we tried T-Ball.......yeah we love it. A great coach called Dennis. A great team and Jared announced that baseball was his sport ......he loved it.
The bonus has been that he is a natural and so are his team. The coach really praises them and teaches them about good sportsmanship and they have only lost one game all season, finishing top of the 1st division for the under 9's.
We will be collecting trophies at the ceremony in April so we will up-date pics then as well but here are a few of our little champion. He has hit a few home runs and caught a few out on first base, second base and as pitcher. He really is learning and loving this sport. As for us we love to watch the games every Saturday morning and I have ended up with the job of score keeper, this is a learning curve for me as it's very complicated the older he gets.
Enjoy ...
